Idaho universities are devoted to giving you a start to your analytics education. Most of the programs in our listings of ID analytics degrees & certificates are bachelor’s degrees and certificates. BYU and Boise State are the big players, and they tend to focus on business analytics fields. Or you could consider ISU and U of I’s specialist informatics programs.
Research & Career-Building
ISU is particularly active in the world of data. It has created the Data Science Alliance (DSA), which is a group of faculty and researchers who are experts in the field, and the Informatics Research Institute (IRI). IRI has some unusual projects, including the Center for Innovative Technology In Archeological Informatics (CITI-AI). If you’re brainstorming research ideas, you should also check out the centers, labs & programs in Boise State’s Department of Computer Science.
Big-name organizations like IEEE, INFORMS, and SIGKDD don’t usually visit Idaho for their meetings. So you may need to book a few flights to the West Coast. However, you can start forging business connections at Intermountain Technology and Leadership Conference in Boise.
